Project description
In 2019, Underscore Tech, Next Day Media and Sportsweb International, with sponsorship from the European Social Fund (ESF), set up a sustainability project to further improve the internal involvement and engagement of employees. By ensuring that its employees continue to develop in addition to their daily work, the expectation is that there will be more involvement and engagement within the organisation. In the long run, this should result in more sustainable employees, so that they feel appreciated and challenged within the organisation for longer.
To this end, a continuous cycle has been set up in collaboration with Unfurl, in which employees draw up their own personal objectives, which are linked to their own development needs and may be independent of the spearheads of the organisation. Within this trajectory, employees work within two themes to develop their own talent. The chosen themes are 1) Promoting a learning culture and 2) Stimulating internal mobility. By means of a personality scan, information sessions, coaching, personal objectives, development needs and 360 degree feedback, employees are stimulated to develop themselves in a targeted way. Throughout the year, employees receive insight and guidance to achieve their development goals. On the one hand, employees become aware of their competencies and talents by means of a personality scan report. On the other hand, they receive guidance and monthly coaching by a coach from Unfurl. In addition, direct colleagues and managers fill in a 360 degree feedback on the development of the employee. Finally, based on the outcomes and the development needs of the employee, new development objectives are formulated.
